Here I show my Whiskey Chair and my guitars: the Berlin (see picture) and my new model, a headless brutalist cutie, which I’ve named after the place I live: Berchem.

I love the challenge of making applied art, allowing function to take first place, while imparting as much artistry, character and soul as I can.
In 2023 I started a little (soo little) business on the side for my aquarel on wood carvings. I also designed and delivered several interior designs, mostly kitchens and bathrooms with a twist, and adapted for elderly people.
In 2024 I graduated in furniture and interior design with my Whisky Chair - which was then selected for the Viewmaster Masterview 2024 exhibition by artist and curator Tom Liekens.
At that time it occurred to me that I had all the skills needed to build guitars. And as an ex-middling-guitarist, of course I have strong opinions on mainstream guitar design (boring and conservative). So, I built one. And discovered that it’s a challenge to build an excellent guitar. And I love a challenge.
In 2026 I graduated my specialty courses and mainly focussed on guitars and 3D printing. My guitar, the “Berlin Jazz”, and my touch-based 3D printed synth housing, the “Synth Cluster”, were selected for Viewmaster 2026, curated by the artist Bent Van Looy, who also happens to be a musician, best known for his band Das Pop, and his work with Soul Wax.
Along the way I’ve met wonderful people who helped me.

The great Leo Lospennato helped me design and build the Berlin Jazz. His guitars are out of this world!
The Synth Cluster was a collaboration with my daughter Lima, who’s finishing her Live Electronics studies at the Conservatory of Antwerp. Not only did she start this project, having this idea of making an art installation / synth object, she was INSTRUMENTAL (pun intended) in the design. It’s 100% her. I just made sure it was possible to build. And then built it.
Now that the housing is finished, she’ll be building the electronics and light part of the synths, and programming all the sounds and logic.
